Before we begin today’s post, I’m happy to say that today, the 4th of July is the first year anniversary of this blog. The history of my blog really began on the 31st of December 2007 when I created the first post on Blogger. Subsequently, one year ago, I shifted the blog to my own domain here and put the focus on documentary and street photography mixed with smatterings of personal anecdotes and stories from my photographic life.
I want to thank everyone of you for reading and following this blog. The past year has been a difficult one for me, and this new blog was also (re)started here partly because I needed something to distract myself from what I was facing, as well as to use it as an outlet for my creative endeavors, both in writing and photography.
With that said, I am pleased to unveil my “LOOK” street photography project, a long term project which I hope will end up eventually in book and exhibition form. Actually, most of the photographs you have been seeing (and all of the pictures in this post), especially the ones from Little India and particularly the ones from Japan are shot with this project in mind. The idea of “Look” really begin in 2004, where I collated a series of shots with this same them – the idea of looking and seeing and giving attention to details and gestures and moments on the streets which pass by us everyday.
Welcome to this blog once again, and thank you for your support. Feel free to have a LOOK at some of the recent work in Japan for this project 🙂
Thanks for viewing!!! Happy 4th July!!!!
